Iran announces launch of Noor 2 satellite
The Iranian news agency IRNA reported today that the Revolutionary Guards "launched" a second satellite into space.
The 2020 launch of its first satellite, Noor, which means "light" in Persian, shows that Tehran has launched a space program. Ali Bagheri Kani, Iran's deputy foreign minister and Tehran's top negotiator, returned to Iran on Monday night.
According to the IRNA agency, it was a trip that took place "in the context of consultations" with the government at a time when it was speculated whether negotiations on the treaty would end. On the other hand, EU negotiator Enrique Mora said that there will be no more technical contacts and that the success or failure of the negotiations depends on Tehran.
